Leadership and Organizational Development/HSTC Support
Target Population – OCFS Staff (including CWCS and DJJOY Staff), local district social services (LDSS) child welfare and adult services staff, current or prospective foster or adoptive parents or relative guardians, and representatives from family court, provider agency staff; stakeholders affiliated with Native American services, non-traditional child welfare stakeholders and non-federal funding participants. Staff of child welfare or adult services provider agencies licensed and/or monitored by OCFS including agencies providing these services through LDSS contacts.
Non-traditional child welfare stakeholders may include, but are not limited to, county probation officers, county mental health staff and county youth bureau staff.
Non-federal funding participants may include staff from OCFS outside of CWCS as well as other state agencies including, but not limited to, the office of court administration and office of alcoholism and substance abuse services.
Emerging Needs
Training Type - Various
Description - Education and training resources for emergent OCFS training needs and/or initiatives, as specified by OCFS BTD based on management and staff input as well as any changes in State and Federal laws, rules, regulations and policies.
Topics will be determined in collaboration with OCFS based on training needs as they arise.
Safety Training
Training Type - Classroom
Description - This training is offered to OCFS staff and LDSS staff to gain knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to assess and address issues related to workplace safety. This may include, but not be limited to:
Safety related training
Workplace Violence prevention training
Workforce Security training
Physical security assessment
There will be 40 offerings of one half-day, which may be delivered in groups of up to 25 people, unless a larger number is approved by OCFS (for a total of 20 days).
