Duties:
This position reports to the Vice President of Programs. The ideal candidate will have a well-developed ability to lead a team to meet desired outcomes, manage education or training programs, and coordinate their planning and implementation with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a high degree of independent decision-making, the ability to make sound programmatic and fiscal decisions and effectively and closely collaborate with staff at the NYS OCFS. Requires an ability to work with diverse groups and negotiate competing priorities.
Supervise Program Manager’s provision of day-to-day contractual support to YRI trainers and subcontractors conducting trainings for child welfare workers from across New York State.
Work with the Vice President of Programs and OCFS staff to design and development new educational materials, feasibility studies, and evaluation instruments.
Assist in organizational planning and financial monitoring of projects.
Communicate needs, concerns, and recommendations to Senior Management and the OCFS liaison when appropriate.
Ensure the timely delivery and quality of training programs.
Supervise staff responsible for training registration, scheduling, and the processing of associated documentation and assist as needed.
Monitor progress of deliverables and implement program adjustments with prior approval.
Confirm completion of project-related documentation including correspondence, reports, and assessments. Assist with proposal development as needed.
Ensure project staff adhere to applicable policies, practices, and protocols.
Assist and/or lead special projects as necessary to meet organizational objectives.
Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university; with Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of progressive responsibility for the administration/management of project deliverables/goals.
3+ years of supervision experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team and coordinate with key stakeholders outside of the organization.
Experience with non-profit social service and/or health care agency providing services under contract with the State of New York a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with colleagues and partner agency staff.
A proven track record of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Experience managing vendor contracts with OCFS strongly preferred.
