Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director of Special Projects, the Project Coordinator will support the expansion of YRI’s project capacity by supporting the planning and implementation of diverse projects. The Project Coordinator will be a key member of the Strategy, Equity and Advancement Team at YRI. The Project Coordinator will support large-and small-scale programs and initiatives that pertain to child welfare, juvenile justice, and family services. This position requires an ability to work with diverse groups and negotiate competing priorities. The Project Coordinator must possess skills that would enable them to effectively complete the following duties:
Support the Direct Cash Transfer pilot by contacting and enrolling eligible families, providing onboarding and benefits counseling, updating and maintaining spreadsheets, scheduling and participating in stakeholder meetings, and providing ongoing support to enrolled families including linkages to the financial provider.
Support the activities of the Department including conducting research, scheduling and facilitating meetings, sharing status updates with the Director of Development, and communicating needs, concerns, and recommendations to the supervisor.
Complete project-related documentation including correspondence, reports, and assessments.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
This position requires an Associate’s degree plus four plus years of relevant experience. The degree must be from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least 4 years’ experience directly engaged in project management work which includes coordination, communication, oversight, and/or leadership of projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively, efficiently, and professionally with colleagues and partner agency staff.

Intermediate-level computer skills required – including high proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and project management software.
Experience working with diverse groups and populations.
A basic knowledge of childcare, child welfare, and social services is strongly preferred.
