Duties:
The Training Coordinator/Supervisor reports to the VP of Programs and is responsible for coordinating the microcomputer training project for State staff from Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), local district social service (LDSS) staff, subcontractors/agents of local departments of social services, legally exempt enrollment staff, and other authorized agents responsible for licensing, registering, enrolling, and supporting childcare providers, and employees of other agencies deemed eligible by OCFS who provide services/resources for families in State-sponsored employment and self-sufficiency initiatives. In addition to supervising project staff, the Training Coordinator/Supervisor will assist with all project work, including training delivery, curriculum development/revision, testing/maintaining of the training database and will represent YRI at meetings with key stakeholders.
The Training Coordinator/Supervisor will be responsible for:
Coaching, mentoring, evaluating, and providing day-to-day supervision to project staff, including an eLearning Developer, two Technical Trainers and one Office Assistant.
Coordination of all training logistics – including, but not limited to scheduling, registration, and delivery.
Representing YRI at project related meetings.
Coordinating/Contributing toward curriculum development/revision.
Providing support for training, which includes conducting training when needed.
Testing/Maintaining the training database and assisting with simulations.
Assisting with updates to Online Help.
Overseeing the development and design of new training material and curricula.
Complete required reports and documentation as needed.
Supervise and oversee the announcement of courses, registration of trainees, maintenance of training histories, verification of course pre-requisites, etc., through the OCFS learning management system, Human Services Learning Center (HSLC) by subordinate staff.
Generate and analyze HSLC reports of training scheduling, attendance, and evaluation.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or comparable work/school related experience with an emphasis in human performance technology, training, or a related area.
Two years of experience in developing and/or delivering classroom technical training.
At least one year of supervisory/leadership experience, preferably supervision of technical training staff.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate at every level of an organization and with external stakeholders.
Demonstrated computer proficiency in MS Office, 365 and software applications needed to perform the essential duties of the position.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work variable days and work hours and travel regularly throughout NYS to deliver training and attend meetings, including travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of New York State Child Day Care Regulations.
Familiarity with proprietary software.
Familiarity in designing and developing eLearning content in Camtasia, Lectora or equivalent products.
Familiarity in creating and updating Online Help.
Additional Information:
A valid NYS Driver’s license is required.
